Erica Soskin

A Little About Me

My name is Erica Soskin, and I am thrilled to be a part of Highland High school.  I love helping students find their strengths and learn how to be self-sufficient. I always emphasize keeping up hope and finding resiliency, and of course, having a sense of humor!

A little background information about myself.

I grew up in New York City and attended SUNY Binghamton where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Art. Around 2001, I moved to New Mexico as I just loved open skies and the mountains.

I attended Southwestern College in Santa fe NM and received my Master’s in Counseling. I then worked for many years as an LPCC doing clinical work with developmentally disabled adults, high risk children, and then at UNM with adults on probation.

I then took classes to get my school counselor license and have now worked for APS for five years at all levels.

Some of my interests are painting, spending time camping in the mountains, and being with my family and my four wonderful dogs!

Again, I am thrilled to be here at Highland and support all students and staff.
